Summer Breeze Hotel – Phuket Thailand

When staying in Phuket Thailand, it’s important to be close to the action.  I have frequented many hotels in this area, and stumbled upon this gem The Summer Breeze Hotel. The first thing that drew me to this place was it’s location.

A block from the beach  and literally 200 feet from the famous Bangla Rd, where all the major nightlife resides in Phuket.  Most hotels I stay at lack one very important quality, and that would be customer interaction, The Summer Breeze hotel shines in this area more than any other hotel I have ever stayed at period.  The staff learns your name, your personal quirks, and your favorite cocktail to make it feel like your surrounded by family.  I can’t say enough about my stay here.  If I had one gripe, it was walking up the stairs to my room after forgetting my camera or something, but the jaunt is still short, just annoying if you forget a camera, or wallet.  The hotel opens up to the road, where all the girls seem to park their scooters, so the location is prime for travel daters.  You can book all your tropical excursions right at the bar if you like as the hotel is equipped to do Tourist bookings for the various scuba, fishing and Island tours.  The Summer Breeze Hotel has  a capable high speed internet connection that runs wireless through out the hotel.  I like the fact that this hotel is boutique, and that the majority of patrons here are regulars, and are always happy to see new alumni arrive.  What hotel views it’s patrons as Alumni anyways?  I have stayed there now 5 times, and will continue to be an Alum at this fine establishment. Get to know the American manager there Bill, as he loves to give you the rundown in Phuket, and is well versed in Thai-Farang culture and the nightlife scene.  The bar here is my favorite day time squat, as I watch the girls and thai people shuffle in to park their motor scooters, and watch the big screen television and chat it up with the staff, whom will gladly drink with you, so don’t be shy and buy them a beer.  I have had the pleasure of partying with the staff at the Summer Breeze on many occasions, as an employee celebrates her birthday, or just my presence as a fun loving customer.  The rooms here are very comfortable, the single room is large enough for most, but I always opt to get the Summer Suite, as it has a condo like feel that overlooks Soi San Sa Bai rd. and all the nightlife action.  I suggest booking a room a month or two in advance at the Summer Breeze hotel as the fill up very quickly, to their very loyal fan base, especially in the high season which begins in November and lasts through February.
